But the project failed and it was sold to the city authorities by Guell's heirs. Bored of those usual house designs. Why not try something odd? How about living in a cube? This is exactly what the Dutch has done. These strange and innovative Cubic Houses have been built in Rotterdam, in the Netherlands. These have been designed by architect Piet Blom.
Blom tilted the cube of a conventional house 45 degrees, and rested it upon a hexagon-shaped pylon. His design represents a village within a city, where each house represents a tree, and all the houses together, a forest.
